Step 1
Check out the rules provided by the search engine for registering sites. They are usually found on the page for adding a site to a search engine.
Step 2
To facilitate the process of entering the same type of data when registering with different search engines, prepare in advance a text document in which you enter the basic information about the site: address, name, description, your contact information and e-mail address.
Step 3
Choose the keywords that will be used for your site to appear in the results of various search engines. Optimize your website's web pages for your chosen keywords.
Step 4
Ensure that all links on the site work. Check the connectivity of all pages with each other, while 2-3 links from each page should lead to the main page. A broken link can lead to the fact that the site page will not be indexed by the search engine robot.
Step 5
Customize the Robot.txt file. Determine which pages of the site are allowed and prohibited for indexing. Close the folders with scripts and files intended for downloading by site visitors from indexing.
Step 6
Forbid for indexing all versions of site pages that duplicate existing ones, for example, print versions. Otherwise, the index may contain several identical pages with different addresses. Search engines have a negative attitude towards duplicates.
