Step 1
Determine the type of your future local network. There are three options for such networks: wired, wireless and combined. If your devices include both laptops and desktops, then your choice should fall on a combined network. To create it, you need a Wi-Fi router or router.

Leaders in the production of routers and routers for home use are D-Link and Asus. Purchase a Wi-Fi router that has ports for network cables. Connect any computer or laptop to the router via an available LAN port. Open its settings. To do this, open your browser and enter https://192.168.0.1 or… 1.1, depending on the manufacturer. Open Access Point Settings or Wireless Setup Wizard. Fill in the required fields, be sure to indicate the static (permanent) IP address to the router
Step 3
Connect all stationary devices to the router. Use pre-purchased power cables for this. Connect all netbooks and laptops to the Wi-Fi hotspot you created.
Step 4
Open the network connection settings on any device. Find the item "TCP / IP Protocol" and go to its properties. Enter the IP address, which will be the last segment of the router's address. In the Default Gateway field, enter the IP address of the router. Repeat this step for all other devices, replacing the last segment in the IP Address field.
