Usually, ready-made sites are delivered in this form: engine files, as well as files of the site itself and the database. Let's consider an example of installing a website on a hosting, running on the WordPress content management system.
It is necessary
Computer, internet access
Instructions
Step 1
Immediately, we note that you must already have a delegated domain attached to your hosting.
Step 2
Loading the engine for hosting. Using the ftp manager, go to your personal account on the hosting (the free FileZilla program is suitable as an ftp manager). The right side of the program will display the status of files on the hosting, the left - on the computer. Find the "Wordpress" folder on your computer through the left side of the program and copy its contents to your site folder on the hosting. This folder can be found in the public-html directory. After the platform is uploaded to the site, proceed to the next step.
Step 3
Going to the hosting admin panel, create a new user and password for it.
Step 4
On the main page of the hosting admin panel, click on the "MySQL Databases" shortcut. You will be taken to a page that allows you to download databases from your computer. Find the required database on your PC and load it through the appropriate window.
Step 5
Bind the previously created user to the loaded database, and then grant him all the privileges (a corresponding window will appear).
Step 6
Using the ftp manager, find the config.php (config-sample.php) file in the site root folder and open it for editing. In the "Database name" field, enter the name of the loaded database, in the "Username" field, enter the name of the previously created user, respectively, in the password field you need to enter the password that you set when creating the user. Save changes and update the file on the server. If the file is named config-sample.php, rename it config.php. Installation of the site for hosting is completed.
