When using various additional programs, for example, search engine panels or individual toolbars, the search process is significantly reduced in time. But the functions of using the address bar can be expanded without additional programs.

Instructions
Step 1
In the Mozilla Firefox browser, the address bar can be configured as follows (for performing search queries):
- enter the value about: config in the address bar;
- filter by specifying the keyword. URL value;
- select the found parameter, press the right mouse button, select "Change";

For the Google Chrome browser, you need to do the following:
- click on the button to call the browser settings (wrench icon);
- select the "Settings" or "Parameters" item in the menu list;
- in the window that appears, go to the "Basic settings" tab, then find "Search by default";
- select any search engine, then click the "Close" button;
- if the column with the search engine is empty, you can add any search engine by clicking on the "Control" button, then "Add" and select one of the proposed options and click on the "OK" button;
- now you can select the search engine you have set through the "Control" menu by clicking the "Set as default search" button.
Step 3
For Internet Explorer, you can configure the search as follows:
- hover your mouse over the small search bar, Bing is installed by default;
- Click on the search engine icon and select "Change default search parameters";
- in the page that opens, select any search engine, then click the "Set defaults" button;
Step 4
For the Opera browser, you need to do the following:
- click the top menu "Tools", from the list that opens, select "Settings" and go to the "Search" tab;
- select any search engine, then click the "Edit" button;
- in the new window, activate the "Use as default" option, then click the "OK" button;
- if the required search engine is absent, click the "Add" button;
- you can also set short combinations to select a search engine without using repeated settings changes (enter a search engine selection command, for example, go or ya, then enter a word or phrase to search for).
