There are several ways to save a piece of Google Map. They are usually quite simple, and this feature is provided by the Google project itself. There are several options for solving the problem.
It is necessary
- any browser
- Paint program
Instructions
Step 1
We will work with a specific example. Let's say we need to find a certain house on the map and save this piece of the map. To the search bar https://maps.google.ru/ enter the request we need. For example, let's take the address St. Petersburg, Lunacharskogo prospect, 54
The Google system indicates to us the desired house with a red droplet and displays a window with information about the object. In this case, this is the Address: ave. Lunacharskogo, 54, city of St. Petersburg, 194356. Below links - "Routes", "Search nearby", "Save", "more", in which there are also several subparagraphs.
Step 2
There are several options for saving the map. Here is one of them. We open the item "more" and click on the link "Send". In the window that appears over the map, select "send by e-mail". In the column "to whom" we enter our e-mail address and press the "Send" button.
The letter arrives immediately. It will contain an image of the section of the map that you have selected. To save it to your computer, right-click on the image and select "Save Image As". Select the directory (folder) where you want to save the image and click the "Save" button.
Step 3
If you want to immediately print the map without all this hassle, click on the print link in the upper right corner of the map. A new browser window will open with a ready-made version for printing the piece of the map you need. Next, "File" - "Print" (or instead a simple keyboard shortcut Ctrl + P) and click the "OK" button.
Step 4
And the most commonly used method. With the browser window open, on the tab with the desired section of the map, press the Print Screen button on the keyboard (on many PrtSc or Prt Scrn laptops). This button takes a screenshot from your monitor.
Now open "Start" - "All Programs" - "Standard" - "Paint" (or "Start" - "Run" - "mspaint" and click "OK"). The program window opens.
Next, "Edit" - "Paste" (or the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + V). The screenshot you made appears in the program window. Select the "selection" tool and outline the part of the image that we need, then press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + C (which means "copy").
Find the lower right corner of the entire screenshot, move the mouse cursor over it and, using the arrow tool that appears (into which the cursor will turn), drag the screenshot to the upper left corner. Now press the key combination Ctrl + V (which means "paste") and get a full-fledged picture.
Now it remains only to save it to your computer, for this click "File" - "Save As". Select the desired directory (folder), enter the File name or leave it the same, select the File type (recommended in this case JPG).
