Users of the VKontakte social network are often faced with the fact that a personal page is hacked by hackers, as a result of which it ceases to be accessible to the owner. The site contains special settings that will help protect your profile.
Instructions
Step 1
Create and specify a complex username and password immediately during the registration of your page. You can use not only uppercase letters, but also uppercase letters, as well as numbers and some punctuation marks. Please note that cell phone registration is more secure. If you choose the registration method via e-mail, remember that the mailbox can be hacked and thereby gain access to your page.
Step 2
Go to the "My Settings" tab on your page. In the "General" window, you will see the function to change the page password. Change it to the one you need, after confirming by entering the old password and a special code that will come to you by SMS or e-mail.
Step 3
Change your phone number that was used during registration if you are worried about it falling into the hands of intruders. This option is also located on the General tab. Please note that the change of the current phone number to a new one does not occur immediately, but after two weeks. During this time, there will be a reminder at the top of your page telling you how many days are left before the change. This is a special protection in case the change was made not by you, but by intruders. Also, as a security measure, you can change your e-mail if you use it to enter your profile.
Step 4
Configure the privacy of the page by selecting the appropriate tab. Specify which friends from your list can be seen by everyone, and which ones (no more than 5) should be hidden. Choose who can see your posts on the page and your entire profile. It can be either everyone, or only your friends or all users who are registered on VKontakte. If there are people from whom you do not want to receive messages, add them to the black list.
Step 5
Write to the VKontakte administration if you notice that someone else is visiting your page, or it has already been hacked, and access to it is closed for you. Experts will check this information, and if it is confirmed, the lost information will be returned to you.
