The message history, like the recycle bin on your computer desktop, should always be cleared. On the one hand, storing old and minor conversations takes up little space in the system's mailbox. But on the other hand, over the years of active virtual communication, the weight of the archive can significantly reduce the volume of the mail limit on mail.ru.
It is necessary
- - name and password from the mail account in mail.ru and the installed Mail.ru Agent application for routine cleaning of the archive;
- - a computer with Internet access for remote cleaning of the archive of saved messages.
Instructions
Step 1
Start Mail.ru Agent. In the dialog box, enter the name and password for your mail account and click the "Login." After downloading, you need to select the interlocutor, the correspondence with which you want to delete. If the archive is to be completely cleared, then the archive of messages of each contact should be cleared one by one.
Step 2
Right-click on the contact and in the dialog box that opens, click on the button "Messages archive." There is another way to enter the archive. Open a dialog box with the selected interlocutor by double-clicking on the contact. In the upper left corner there is a button “Archive.
Step 3
Select the correspondence history you need. In order to delete a message, select it by single clicking the left mouse button and click on the "Delete" button in the right block of the menu. And if you want to completely clear the history of correspondence, you should use the "Delete everything" function located in the same part of the dialog box.
Step 4
Use the remote method to delete the archive if you are using a computer on which Mail.ru Agent is not installed. To do this, open the mail.ru portal and enter your mailbox. After that, click on the button “Archive of Mail.ru Agent messages, located in the left vertical menu of the page. After that, the system will again ask you to enter the password into the system and after successful identification, remote access to the archive will be obtained. All conversation histories are stored by contacts. It is enough to select the interlocutor, the correspondence with whom you want to delete, and select messages. After pressing the button “Delete the correspondence with the interlocutor disappears irrevocably.
