The ability to hide saved photos in VK appeared recently. It can be activated using the updated functionality of the social network, available to every registered user.
Instructions
Step 1
Saved photos are a special album in the profile of users of the social network VKontakte. Here are images from this site, borrowed from the pages of other people and communities. Since January 2017, users have been given the opportunity, if they wish, to make this album private (previously it was available for viewing both to friends and to any other strangers). To hide saved photos in VK on the new version of the site, you need to follow a few simple steps.
Step 2
First, log into your VK profile using your personal username and password. By default, saved VK photos for all users were hidden immediately after the introduction of this feature, but if you accidentally canceled these settings, you can return them to their previous value. Pay attention to the icon with your photo and name in the upper right corner of the site and click on it. In the menu that appears, select and click the "Settings" item.
Step 3
Go to the "Privacy" tab located on the side. In the "My Page" section, find the item "Who sees the list of saved photos." You can change the settings so that the saved VK images can be seen either only by you or by all users. You can also open access to certain people who are on your friends list. Settings are saved automatically and without the need to press additional keys.
Step 4
Do not confuse the ability to hide saved photos in VK with the privacy function of other photos. The latter, for example, include photos in which you have been tagged. This setting is made separately in the privacy section. Also, the photos that you uploaded to your personal albums from a computer or phone are separately closed from prying eyes. These images can be closed from viewing through their respective albums.
Step 5
If you have just recently discovered the possibility of saving any photos to your VKontakte profile, you may be interested to know how to do this. Open any image on the page of the desired user or group so that it is displayed in full screen. Below the photo there will be a button "Save to yourself", when you click on it, the image will immediately appear in your shared album.
