The concept of "blog" entered the Russian speech almost simultaneously with the ability to create online diaries. A page that other users can read and comment on can be either on a stand-alone platform or on social networks. Those who started such magazines were called bloggers. Over time, there were a lot of blogs, and they formed the blogosphere.
The very first blog is considered to be the page of the American Tim Berners-Lee. It appeared in the early 90s of the last century. This was truly an innovation. Everyone who went there could not only read the news, but also write their opinion about the event and, in turn, report something interesting. The new form seemed so promising to computer companies that they seriously started developing platforms where anyone with Internet access could create their own small website. This idea served as the basis for social networks, the first of which was Blogger. The overwhelming majority of modern blogs exist on hosting specially designated for this purpose. Each user, depending on the conditions of the placement site, can add text messages, photos, audio and video recordings. The capabilities of blogging associations are different, and the appearance of the diary depends on the engine of the service. In some cases, the user can independently choose the design option for his page from several offered. There are also platforms with the same page appearance for all. The blogosphere is constantly evolving. Each developer tries to provide his clients with as many options as possible. Initially, it was supposed to post only text messages. Then photoblogs, video blogs, and multipurpose platforms began to appear. Now you can track updates. Messages about new entries in a blog of interest to you or about comments can be received by e-mail or mobile phone. Users create such diaries for themselves for various reasons. For many people, sites such as Odnoklassniki or VKontakte have allowed them to find old acquaintances with whom they have long lost contact. Others have been looking for opportunities to publish their creative works for a long time and found it by creating their own magazine. Everyone has a place where they can freely express their opinions. Over time, individual pages were also used for advertising and political purposes. For example, for representatives of firms and public authorities, communication through blogs provides the fastest and most effective feedback. Blogs are of great importance for self-education. Web diaries are kept not only by individual bloggers, but also by schools, universities, scientific and creative communities. There is an opportunity to establish contacts with those who are engaged in the same kind of creativity or the same science. Modern platforms allow you to create communities of interest, invite friends and much more. The thematic communities of "Live Journal", "VKontakte" and other social networks have accumulated a huge amount of information on a variety of issues. However, the sites of the blogosphere also have not very positive sides. They, for example, provide an opportunity to disguise themselves as another person or present themselves as a fictional character. Whether it plays a positive or negative role depends on the user's goals. For some, this provides an additional chance to self-actualize, for example, in a creative way. But abuses are not uncommon. The popularity of blogs allows you to throw in not always truthful information that is necessary for some political force or a certain company. Therefore, any socially significant or sensational information must be checked on other sources. The blogosphere has a very strong effect on life off the Internet. It is not only a very fast way of transmitting information. Scientific and creative discussions are held in blogs, programs for future concerts are formed. The emergence of such a method of communication can significantly reduce the time that was previously required for the publication of a book or the organization of an exhibition, conference or subbotnik.
