Sometimes it happens: a familiar and familiar password suddenly flies out of my head. Our hopes for this not the most reliable way of storing valuable information are too high. Mail and other services always provide for this option and, if a password is lost, they offer different ways to recover it.
Instructions
Step 1
Under the cherished button "Enter", which this time does not let us through, we see the link "Remember password". We pass on it. The Yandex Passport page will prompt us to enter a username or email, for which we need to recover the password. We enter the desired option. On the same page below, enter the code confirming that you are not a robot. You're not a robot, are you?
Step 2
We get to the page "access restoration". There are two options: a secret question and a mobile phone. If you remember or wrote down the secret question and the answer to it - enter the answer in the field. You will be taken to the next page "Restoring access, entering a new password", where you will be prompted to assign and confirm a new password. Be sure to write down the new password on paper or in a text file (but do not store it on your computer).
Step 3
If you do not remember the answer to the security question, use password recovery using your mobile phone. To do this, you had to enter during registration and confirm your mobile phone number. If you have done this, the system will open a tab for you and indicate that there is a verified mobile phone number for the required login. Enter the number and within a few minutes you will receive a code (SMS for free). Enter the code in the requested field on the next page, and Yandex will prompt you to assign and confirm a new password, just like in the case with the answer to the security question.
Step 4
For security reasons, periodically change your passwords and, of course, do not miss the opportunity to use different password recovery options on Yandex. Store passwords not only in the depths of your memory. This will help you have access to mail and other Yandex services at any time.
