There are three ways to recover your Yandex Disk password: using your phone, via e-mail, or by correctly answering the security question. But first, you need to check if everything is in order with the cookies.
Checking cookies
Before restoring the password for your Yandex Drive account, you should make sure that the password was entered incorrectly. As a rule, if you enter your username or password incorrectly, the following message appears “Invalid login-password pair. Failed to log in. Perhaps the username was entered incorrectly, and not the password. To do this, you need to check whether the desired keyboard layout is worth it, whether the Caps Lock key is enabled and whether you are entering the correct name for your login (or email). The same must be checked when entering the password.
Also, the reason for unsuccessful authorization may be incorrect configuration of cookies in the browser. Cookies are text files where the browser records all data received from the server. When navigating to various sites, the server can read the information that is in the cookies. It is due to the fact that information is incorrectly stored in cookies that problems may arise with authorization on Yandex Disk. Therefore, you need to delete these files.
There are many popular browsers, but let's take Google Chrome as an example. So, to delete cookies in this browser, you need to click the button in the upper right corner of the browser (an icon with three horizontal stripes). In the menu that appears, select "Delete data on viewed pages". In the new window "Clear history", you must select from the list the period for which you want to delete the data - for example, "For all time". Then you need to check the box "Clear cookies and other data …" and make sure that the rest of the checkboxes are unchecked. After clicking the "Clear history" button, the cookies will be cleared, and you can try to log in to Yandex Disk again.
Password recovery
If you still can't log into your Yandex account, you can start recovering your password. To do this, you need to go to a special page for password recovery. Then you will need to enter your username or e-mail, correctly type the characters from the picture and click "Next". The method of password recovery depends on what information about yourself was provided during registration and on the "Personal data" page.
If a security question has been set, then after the correct answer, an email will be sent with a link, with which you can set a new password. If an additional address was specified, then a password recovery letter will be sent to this e-mail. If during registration a mobile phone number was specified and confirmed, then an SMS message with a new password will be sent to it.
