Instructions

Step 1

If you went to a page with an advertisement and want to get rid of it, right-click on the page and select "Block content" from the context menu. Then left-click on the ad banners you want to block and they will disappear.

Step 2

In the confirmation window that appears, click the "Save" button. Also in this window you can click the "Settings" button and enter additional addresses of the sites-sources of advertising that you want to block. To do this, click the "Add" button and enter the desired address, and then click "Close". After each change, click the "Save" button.

Step 3

The disadvantage of the built-in method for removing ads in Opera is that you have to block the content of the page every time you visit new sites, but this process can be automated using a special script.

Step 4

To install the script to block ads, open the browser's "Tools" menu and then open the "Settings" section. In the settings window, click on the "Advanced" tab and select the "Content" option on the left side of the window. Then click on the "Configure JavaScript" button. At the bottom of the preferences window, you will see the line "Custom JavaScript Files Folder".

Step 5

Click the Browse button, specify the directory path and click OK. Then download the ad blocking script - go to the AdSweep website and download the script for Opera. Place the downloaded script in the custom scripts directory you specified above.

Step 6

There is another method for blocking ads in Opera - for this, download the Adblock list for Opera from the Internet and replace the existing urlfilter.ini blocking list with it, which is located in the following folder: C: / Documents and Settings / Username / Application Data / Opera / Opera.
