The method is suitable for those who imagine which region the site can be linked to. To do this, copy the following url into the browser line: https://yandex.ru/yandsearch?text=&site=XXXX&rstr=-XXX, where instead of XXXX you should put your site, and instead of XXX - the number corresponding to the region. Follow the link https://search.yaca.yandex.ru/geo.c2n to compare the region with the corresponding numerical value. In the end, if the site is called vasya.com, and the intended region is Moscow, then the request should look like this: https://yandex.ru/yandsearch?text=&site=vasya.com&rstr=-213. Now press Enter to follow the link. If Yandex displays the site, the region is specified correctly. If you see "The combination of words you are looking for is not found anywhere", continue to change the numerical values of the regions.
Step 2
This method is suitable only for sites that are in the Yandex archived XML data. It is impossible to determine whether there is a website there in advance. Just follow the link: https://tools.promosite.ru/region/region.php?domain=, then in the search box write the site domain (in the form of vasya.com) and see the result. If there is a site, then the third line in the displayed result will indicate the region to which it is assigned. If the site is not in the archive, you will receive a message about it

Please note that Yandex does not currently provide information about regions directly. If you want your site to be tied to a specific region, when filling out the information, indicate the phone numbers and addresses corresponding to the desired location, fill the site with relevant content.
