Step 1
If you have two laptops and want to provide them with synchronous Internet access, it is absolutely not necessary to purchase a Wi-Fi router. Connect the LAN cable to the network adapter of the mobile computer.
Step 2
Set up a connection with your provider. In this case, it does not matter at all what type of connection is used to connect to the network. Make sure the first laptop is accessing the internet.

Now create a wireless LAN between mobile computers. To do this, open the Network and Sharing Center on the first laptop. Select the "Manage Wireless Networks" menu.

Click the Add button to create a new connection. Select the type of network "computer-to-computer". The fact is that most of the Wi-Fi modules of laptops do not work in the access point mode. Therefore, you need to create a direct connection with another mobile PC.

Enter the network name and set the password. Save the connection parameters. Turn on another laptop. Open the list of available wireless networks. Establish a connection with the first mobile computer.

Open the properties of the wireless adapter. Specify a static IP address in the TCP / IP settings. Enter a similar value in the Default Gateway field, replacing the last digit.

In the Wi-Fi settings of the first laptop, set the IP address, the value of which you entered in the "Default gateway" field of the second mobile PC. Open the Internet connection settings menu. Select the "Access" tab.
Step 8
Check the box next to "Allow other users to access this connection." Save the connection parameters and activate it. Add wireless LAN to firewall exceptions. Go to the second laptop and check your internet connectivity.
