ESET Smart Security software
Instructions
Step 1
If you know exactly which program should restrict access to the Internet, half the battle has already been done, otherwise you will have to look for such a program. After installing the anti-virus protection system from ESET, use the firewall built into this product. By default, it blocks all internet connections you haven't used before. Windows will appear on the screen with the names of programs that request information from Internet pages. Once you find the program you want, you can add a firewall rule to deny network access.

Open the program, select "Settings" and click the "Enable advanced mode" link. In the window that opens with the message "Switch to advanced mode?" click the "Yes" button.
Step 3
In the left part of the window, find the "Settings" block and click the "Personal firewall" item, then click "Advanced personal firewall settings". In the window that opens, go to the "Filtering mode" section and check the box next to the "Automatic mode with exceptions" item.
Step 4
In the "Personal firewall" block, click on the "Rules and zones" item and in the "Zones and rules editor" block, click on the "Settings" button.
Step 5
Go to the "Rules" tab and click on the "Create" button. In the window that opens, go to the "General" tab, fill in the "Name" column with the name of the program. Open the drop-down list "Action" and select the value "Deny".
Step 6
To select a program, go to the "Local" tab, click the "Browse" button and specify the folder in which the executable file of the blocked application is located. In the settings window, click the OK button to confirm your choice.
