Step 1
Use the Kaspersky Internet Security software. It will not only protect against virus attacks, but also block access to some programs. In the upper right corner of the open program, click on the link that should take you to "Settings". In the window on the left go to the "Protection" section.
Step 2
Find "Firewall", then click "Settings …". Go to the subsection "Filtering rules". In the list provided, select the required program for which you want to restrict Internet access. Click "Add" under the list of programs. Then, in the "Network Rule" window, go to the "Actions" item. Click "Block". Find Web Browsing under the "Network Service" section. Next, you need to click OK. From the "Firewall" go to the "Filtering rules". It will say “Deny” under your program. Click OK. Now there is no Internet connection for prohibited software.
Step 3
Make a restriction for children using the KidsControl program. Download it and install it. In the window of the program, find the item "User rights". Go to "Administrator" and then click "Access to control panel". Deny access to the control panel for users.
Step 4
List the resources that you want to deny to restrict users from accessing the Internet. Click on "Forbidden Resources" and check the boxes in the required items. Configure allowed and denied sites by making a black and white list. You can completely restrict internet access by specifying specific days and times. To do this, you can use the "Access Schedule". Select the desired time intervals and days of the week to block access to the Internet. In the "Download Log" you can view the data on the visited resources during your absence. If you have Windows Vista, you can use built-in tools to restrict the use of the Internet to unwanted persons.
Step 5
Create an additional account, for example, for a child. Enter "Start", find "Control Panel" and click on "Create Account". Give it a name. You do not need to set a password. In the subsection "Setting parental controls", you must select the desired user and include it in the "Parental Controls" item. Set up a group to restrict Internet use and prohibit the use of certain services on the Internet.
