Step 1
You may need fog in Minecraft for various reasons. Most often - because you, like a considerable number of other gamers, dream of crossing the game space with a mysterious mob and a very formidable enemy - Herobrine. He will set up traps for you, erect incomprehensible structures from blocks and perform other obviously griffier acts. If you believe in its existence, you are probably not convinced by the assurances of Notch and other creators of the game that such a mob does not exist there in principle. You are certainly sure that, since fog is considered to be the constant companion of the herobrine, under such weather conditions you will have an increased chance of intersecting with this extraordinary virtual creature.
Step 2
If you have one of the relatively old versions of Minecraft installed, try turning on fog by simply pressing a few keys. For this purpose use Russian A (or English F) by clicking on it as many times as necessary. Thus, you will achieve the setting of a small drawing range of the game space, due to which you will automatically cause the appearance of fog in the game. He will cover with his veil those chunks that are farther from you. Moreover, the closer the distance from them to your character, the more transparent the fog will be (as in real life).

When pressing the above key does not produce the desired effect and the fog does not appear, try combining it with F3. However, in many of the newest versions of Minecraft, and this, most likely, will not help you. Look for the corresponding item in the menu to enable fog, if such an option is present in it in the release of the game you have installed. Otherwise, install one of the appropriate mods to help customize natural phenomena. Try Not Enough Items or Too Many Items for example. They have corresponding buttons to control the weather in the OSD. Select the appropriate one, set the required parameters with its help - and the fog will appear.

Install OptiFine - this mod will help you manage the desired weather phenomenon, perhaps better than others, and in addition, it will also improve the work of Minecraft, eliminating the causes of many lags. Go to the graphics settings menu of the above modification and select the Fog item there. To activate this parameter, move it from Off to the desired position. For example, Fast will cause usual fog, while Fansy will be more interesting in terms of video effects, but also very expensive in terms of fps. Adjust the distance from your character to the fog by setting the desired Fog Start value. Its valid range is 0.2-0.8.
