When the player in "Minecraft" already has his own virtual dwelling, built by him from the materials he has obtained, and he has accumulated a lot of various resources, he seriously begins to think about what would be useful to use them. Often in a similar situation, he decides to craft furnishings for his home - for example, a bath or a sink.
Plumbing without any mods
Of course, such things have no functional value in Minecraft, because they are there unnecessarily. None of the gamers (or rather, their characters) in the game feel the need to wash, rinse their hands, relieve their natural needs, etc., since in virtual reality they do not sweat and do not have the opportunity to get dirty. Therefore, the installation of a bathroom in their house is carried out exclusively for beauty.
Such things are done in different ways in this game. For the simplest of them, you don't even need to install any special mods. The sink will turn out if there are only two things in the inventory - a lever and a cauldron. However, they can always be crafted anyway.
Interestingly, the cauldron was originally added to the game by its creators for brewing, but it was in this capacity that it turned out to be unnecessary due to its excessive bulkiness. A cooking rack quickly came to replace him, and they promised to find another use for the boiler - which soon happened. However, the know-how of using it for the sink is more likely the idea of the gamers themselves (who apparently did not want such an interesting subject to be left out) than the "fathers" of Minecraft.
For the manufacture of the boiler, only one resource is required - iron ingots (obtained by melting the desired ore in the furnace). They will need as many as seven. It is necessary to place them in the workbench so that the central cell and the one above it remain empty. The product is ready.
Many experienced "minecrafters" know how to craft a lever, because they often use it in the construction of various structures (including for their own home). It will also be useful to them for the arrangement of the sink. To make it, you need to place a wooden stick in the central slot of the workbench, and immediately below it - a cobblestone.
Assembling the product is quite simple. You just need to install the boiler already filled with water (collected in any reservoir) on any suitable flat surface, next to a sheer wall. A ready-made lever is placed directly on it. The latter will play the role of a tap here.
Almost a real sink with Jammy Furniture Mod
The above-described washstand is more reminiscent of a kind of "marching" version and outwardly looks a little like a real sink. In order to build something that really resembles it, you need one of the very popular mods among gamers - Jammy Furniture Mod. This modification adds several new types of materials to the game and allows you to create various interesting home furnishings, including plumbing.
In order to create a sink with this mod, you will need an iron ingot and four ceramic panels. This new material is made from clay. Six of its units must be placed on the workbench so as to leave its bottom horizontal row empty. At the exit, after such crafting, one clay plate is obtained, which, to turn into ceramic, will need to be fired in a furnace.
When a sufficient number of such panels are collected, it remains to assemble the sink. To do this, an iron ingot is placed in the central cell of the upper horizontal row of the workbench, and four ceramic plates are placed on the sides of it and in two cells directly below it. The result is a tulip-type washstand - on a leg.
The Jammy Furniture Mod can also create a kitchen sink (like a sink). To make it, you will need the same resources as for a similar item for a bathroom, but you need one more ceramic panels - five. They must be placed in the two lower horizontal rows of the workbench (without occupying its central slot), and the iron ingot in the middle cell of the upper one. This sink will look almost like a real one, especially if you fill it with water.
