Blocking an account of the VKontakte social network, as well as the appearance of a message about the need to send SMS to unblock a profile, are often the result of malware. Don't pay the extortionists in any way! The situation can be corrected using standard OS Windows tools.
Instructions
Step 1
Open the main system menu by clicking the "Start" button to perform the procedure for unlocking the account of the social network "VKontakte", and go to the "All programs" section. Expand the Accessories link and launch the Windows Explorer application. Expand My Computer and select the operating system drive. Follow the path
Windows / system32 / drivers / etc and expand the hosts folder.
Step 2
Determine the contents of the selected folder. The hosts file is used to store the mapping of Web site names to IP addresses. The file format assumes line-by-line storage of components, where the first element is the IP address, and the second is the name of the resource. It is also possible that there are comments, separated from the meaning of the page name by the # sign. Make sure there are no extra lines in the document or delete them. Save your changes and reopen the hosts file. Make sure the deleted lines do not appear again, or go to the next step.
Step 3
Simultaneously press the Ctrl + Alt + Del functional keys and go to the Processes tab of the dialog box that opens to define the virus program files to be deleted. Find malicious processes named svc.exe or svchost.exe and select them by clicking the left mouse button. Use the “End Process” button and save the changes made.
Step 4
Return to the main system menu "Start" and select "Files and folders" in the "Where to search" section of the search bar. Enter svchost.exe in the text box and apply the check box in the Search hidden files and folders row in the Advanced Options section. Use the "Find" command and wait for the scan to complete. Delete the found malicious files and restart your computer to apply the changes.
