Firefox plugins (add-ons) serve as an auxiliary tool for working on the Internet. With the help of plug-ins, you can expand the functionality of the browser and provide yourself with a comfortable browsing of pages on the Internet. They can be turned on and off in the program settings through a special menu item.
Disabling a plugin
To disable the required plug-in, which has been interfering with your work for some time, you can use the settings menu item. To do this, open your browser using the shortcut on your desktop or the Start menu. After downloading the program, click on the Firefox button located in the upper left corner. In the list of proposed options, click on the line "Add-ons".
In the "Manage Add-ons" tab, select the "Plugins" section. In the list provided, uncheck the name of the extensions that you want to disable. Now you can remove the disabled plugin or use the same menu to enable the required extension later. To permanently remove the plugin, click on the "Never enable" button.
Removing themes and extensions to change the functionality of Firefox is done through the same "Add-ons" tab. To remove a skin, click on the "Extensions and Themes" section. Similarly, select the items you want to remove or disable, and then click Apply. To re-enable the plugin, use the "Always enable" section.
Removing plugins and extensions
To completely remove the plugin and the previously installed extension in the browser itself, go back to the Firefox - Add-ons menu. Please note that if you completely remove them, you will not be able to re-enable them in the future, and therefore you will need to install the applet again by downloading it from the Internet.
If you are completely sure that the plugin will no longer be useful to you, click on the "Remove" button opposite the corresponding name. After clicking Remove, the plug-in will be completely erased from your computer. If necessary, click on the "Restart Now" button to restart Firefox and apply the changes made.
Large plugins that work not only in Firefox, but also in other browsers are removed through the menu "Start" - "Control Panel" - "Add or Remove" - "Uninstall Programs". Go to this Windows section and find the name of the plugin installed on the system. Right-click on the corresponding line, and in the context menu that appears, click "Delete".
Plugin uninstallation completed. Restart Firefox to apply the changes. A removed plugin can be re-downloaded from its developer's official website or from the Firefox plugins page.
