Plugins allow you to make your browser more efficient, protect against viruses, and expand functionality. After installing them, almost no additional action is required from the user. To install, view, enable and disable plugins, you need to know where to look for them.
Instructions
Step 1
To install a plugin, go to the software vendor's website and click on the Download button (Download or Install) next to the module you need. Wait until the end of the operation and, if necessary, restart the browser.
Step 2
Installed plugins can be activated and deactivated at your own discretion. To access them in the Mozilla Firefox browser, select the "Tools" item in the top menu bar and click on the "Add-ons" item in the context menu. On the page that opens, click on the "Plugins" button on the left side of the screen. You will see a list of all installed modules with brief information about them (status, version).
Step 3
To get additional information about the module you are interested in, click on the "Details" button-link opposite the plug-in you need. To deactivate the module, click on the "Disable" button, to activate - "Enable", respectively. After enabling or disabling a particular plug-in, you may need to restart your browser. In some cases, modules can cause browser stability or security issues. There are also warnings about this in the plugin line.
Step 4
To access the plugins in the Internet Explorer browser, find the "Tools" item in the top menu bar and select "Add-ons" from the drop-down menu. In the window that opens, you can get information and perform all the necessary actions provided for the installed plugins. To return to normal browser work, click the Close button in the Add-ons window.
Step 5
In other browsers, access to modules is performed by analogy. If you don't see the top menu bar in your browser window, make sure you haven't turned on full screen mode. To exit it, use the F11 key. If the menu bar does not appear after that, right-click on the browser panel and make sure that a marker is placed in the context menu next to the "Menu bar" item ("Menu bar").
