Instructions
Step 1
Open the menu on your computer that contains a list of the Internet connections you are using. In Windows XP, this menu is accessible from the computer control panel, also by clicking on the connections icon in quick start. In later versions of Windows operating systems, configuration occurs from the Network and Sharing Center. To do this, right-click on the connections menu in the lower right corner of the screen and select the appropriate menu item.
Step 2
Open your local area connection settings and enter the parameters specific to your ISP's internet usage. You can get them by calling technical support, or on the official website of the service provider. After that, set up your Internet connection, to do this, double-click on it and select "Properties". Specify the necessary settings depending on the type of connection and save the changes.
Step 3
If you want to change the Internet settings regarding the tariff plan and additional services, go to the user's personal account on the official website of your provider. Usually, the same combinations that you enter in the connection window are used as login and password.
Step 4
If you need to configure the Internet in a browser, launch it and go to the configuration parameters from the main menu. There you can enable or disable java-script, displaying images, animations, playing music and so on. Configure settings for saving user data, caching files, clearing temporary memory, and more.
Step 5
If you need to configure the Internet on your mobile device, go to the menu of your browser and set the parameters for it at your discretion. To manage connections, go to the corresponding menu item in the control panel, specifying the access point and other parameters. To change the tariff plan for using the mobile Internet, contact the technical support service of your operator or do it through the menu of the user's personal account in the menu of his official website.
