Now, by looking at the problematic file in File Explorer, you should be able to see its extension. By this very extension, you need to identify the application that should handle the processing. You may know it - for example, it can be a file of some video format, which should be played by the video player installed in the system. In this case, the cause of the problem, most likely, is the absence of a codec required to play this particular document. Information about the format, codecs and programs that can recognize files with this extension should be searched on specialized Internet sites. For example, open-file.ru, formats.ru, filetypes.ru, etc.

In this way, you will determine the program or codec required to work with a file type that your OS cannot recognize. All that remains is to find them on the network, download and install them. Or vice versa - refuse to use such a problematic file type.
