Necessary

Network cables, network hub (switch)

Instructions

Step 1

Choose the right computer. Please note that you will need to connect an additional network adapter to it. In this situation, it is better not to use USB-LAN adapters, but to install a full-fledged PCI device.

Step 2

Connect the selected computer to the Internet. Configure this connection in accordance with the recommendations of the provider.

Step 3

Then the fun begins. If the network will include only two computers, then connect them together with a cable. If there are more such PCs, then purchase a network hub (switch) and connect all PCs to it, including the first one.

Step 4

Open the internet connection properties on the host computer. Select the "Access" tab. Find the item "Allow other computers on the network to use this PC's Internet connection." Activate it.

Step 5

Open the properties of the network connection. Set the second network adapter to a static IP address, for example 48.48.48.1. This completes the setup of the first computer.

Step 6

Now you need to configure the network adapters of the other computers so that they can access the Internet. Open the network connection settings and go to the properties of the TCP / IP protocol.

Step 7

Set a static IP address of the format 48.48.48. H for this network card. Naturally, H is in the range from 2 to 250.

Step 8

For the "Preferred DNS Server" and "Default Gateway" items, set the value equal to the IP address of the host computer.

Step 9

Configure the rest of the computers as described in the previous two steps. Naturally, change the value of the H parameter each time.
