Access to Internet resources in Nokia cell phones is carried out using GPRS-WAP and GPRS-INTERNET technologies. Since the second of these technologies allows you to use the global worldwide network at a lower cost than the first, we will consider setting up the Nokia E51 phone to work using GPRS-INTERNET technology. Knowing how to customize this phone model, you can easily customize other phones from this manufacturer.

Step 1
Call the technical support service of your cellular operator and find out if your GPRS-INTERNET service is connected. If the service is not connected, ask to connect it
Step 2
Select Menu-Tools-Settings-Connection-Access points.
Step 3
Select Options-New access point to create a new access point.
Step 4
Write a name for the connection, for example mts internet.
Step 5
In the row "Data feed" select "Packet data".
Step 6
In the line "Access point name" enter the name that is determined by your cellular operator.
For example:
internet.mts.ru (MTS),
internet.beeline.ru (Beeline), internet.tele2.ru (Tele2), internet.nw (Megaphone northwest).
The access point name is determined by your region.
Step 7
Enter the username, which is also provided by the service provider. For MTS - mts, for Beeline - beeline, for Megafon and Tele2 - leave the field blank.
Step 8
In the line “Request a password” select “Yes” if you want to enter it every time you visit the Internet, or “No” so that the password is saved in the phone's memory and the connection to the Internet occurs without entering a password.
Step 9
In the "Password" line, enter the password provided by your operator.
For MTS - mts, for Beeline - beeline, for Megafon and Tele2 - leave blank.
Step 10
In the line "Home page" you can enter the address of the page if you want.
Step 11
In the line "Authentication", at your discretion, select "Secured" or "Normal".
Step 12
Press the right button below the Back display to save and exit. Power off and on your phone.
