Google Chrome is one of the most popular browsers. It is quite easy to use, it loads pages quickly, and search queries can be entered directly into the address bar. And, of course, like any other browser, Google Chrome needs to periodically clear its cache.
Instructions
Step 1
All browsers, including Chrome, store part of the information on the hard drive during operation. This allows you to load previously viewed pages faster, saving not only time, but also money for users with megabyte rates. Sometimes you may need to clear the cache to free up space on your hard drive and speed up your computer.
Step 2
Each browser has its own system for clearing the cache. In order to do this in Google Chrome, you need to perform the following sequence of actions: close the browser by clicking on the cross located in the upper right corner of the program window, and then open it again with one blank tab. Select "Google Chrome Control Settings" from the main browser menu. Then click "Clear browsing data" (aka "Clear browsing data"). Also, these actions can be replaced by the key combination Ctrl + Shift + Del.
Step 3
In the opened window with commands, check the boxes next to the following items: clear download history, clear browsing history, clear cache, delete cookies. Also, at your discretion, you can delete saved passwords and clear form data. After that, select the period for which you would like to delete the information, and click "Clear browsing data".
Step 4
You can also clear the Google Chrome cache in another way. At the top right of the browser, click on the wrench. In the window that opens, select "Options", and in the next window - "Advanced". Next, you need to click the "Delete browsing data" button, after which the "Clear browsing data" window will open. Then, as in the first method, you can select those items that you would like to delete.
Step 5
If you decide to cancel the operation, use the "Close" button to exit the settings menu.
