The Skype username is displayed on the system when making calls. Your login is also displayed on the profile page in the service. Step 1
Without creating a new Skype account, you can change the on-screen name that is visible to other users. It is displayed in the lists of contacts of friends and is displayed when making a call to other subscribers.

To change the name, enter the program by launching it using the appropriate shortcut on the computer. Enter your username and password to log in. After downloading the program, click on your display name, which is displayed in the center of the application window.

If you want, you can also rename any contact in your friends list in your own way. To do this, right-click on a position in the "Contacts" panel and select the "Rename" option. Enter a new name for the user and press Enter. It is worth noting that after the change, the name will be displayed in this way only in your contact list and nowhere else.

When registering a new user in order to change your username, remember that the money credited to your original Skype balance cannot be transferred, just as the contact list cannot be transferred from one account to another. To complete the registration in the main Skype window, go to the "File" - "Login as a new user" tab, and then click "Register" and follow the instructions that appear on the screen during the registration process. After completing the procedure, you will be able to use your new username and password to enter the system under a new name.

You can also use your Microsoft account to change your name. If you already have an Xbox, Windows Phone or Hotmail account, you just need to enter your account information on one of these servers in the Skype window and sign in. After logging in as a username, you will see your account information from the Microsoft service.
