The reasons for parting with the Opera browser can be very different: it interferes with the work of other applications, does not suit with its functionality, or is simply tired. The procedure for uninstalling this program is almost identical to other applications, but there are a couple of pitfalls.

Instructions

Step 1

Make sure the Opera browser is closed. Open the Add / Remove Programs menu. If your operating system is Windows XP, click "Start" -> "Control Panel" -> "Add or Remove Programs". If you have Windows Vista or Windows 7, click "Start" -> "Control Panel". If the control panel is presented in the classic form, click on "Programs and Features", if in the form of categories - "Uninstall a program". An alphabetical list of the applications installed on your computer appears.

Step 2

If you have Windows XP, click on the Opera program in this list. A “Delete” or “Delete / Replace” button will appear next to it. Click on it to start the uninstall process. If you have Windows 7 or Vista, you can not manually search for the Opera browser in this list, but use the search bar, which is located in the upper right corner of the window. To start the uninstallation process, right-click on the name and click "Delete" or just double-click on it with the left button. A new window will appear in which the system will ask you if you are really sure that you want to uninstall Opera.

Step 3

Pay attention to the item "Delete user data". If you put a tick next to it, the "Details" button will become active. If you click on it, a list of program data will appear, which you can optionally delete. Among them are cache, cookies, settings, bookmarks, passwords, etc. Uncheck the boxes that you do not want to delete. With these settings in mind, click Back and then Delete.

Step 4

After the uninstallation is complete, a survey page will automatically open in another browser (Internet Explorer by default). The purpose of this survey is to find out the reason why you uninstalled the Opera browser. You can ignore it by simply closing your browser.
