Step 1
The first thing to warn the victims of such a virus against is that in no case and under any circumstances should the requirements of fraudsters be fulfilled, i.e. send SMS messages.
So, the easiest and most primitive way to get rid of an advertising banner is to use the Windows operating system in safe mode. First, you need to enter Safe Mode. To do this, when restarting the computer after the beep sounds, press the F8 key.
Step 2
Next, you need to start the registry (either write regedit in the command line, or write the same phrase in the "Run" field) and go to this address HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / SOFTWARE / Microsoft / WindowsNT / CurrentVersion / Winlogon. In this folder, you need to check two parameters: only Explorer.exe should be registered in Shell, and C: / Windows / system32 / userinit.exe in Userinit.

Step 4
The most effective method of fighting banner viruses is the method using additional software. This method should be used when it is impossible to start safe mode. To remove an ad banner, you only need two utilities - Live CD and CureIt. The first program is a disk-run operating system, the second is a very effective antivirus scanner. It is advisable to choose a Windows-based LiveCD.
Step 5
After receiving the required software package, you need to start the disk or usb media from the LiveCD by changing the boot parameters in the BIOS, and then enable CureIt in the loaded operating system. With a high degree of probability, the virus will be found. After successfully completing these operations, you should install more efficient anti-virus systems.
