Hamachi is a program designed to create virtual local area networks on the Internet. If configured correctly, this program will allow you to play a wide variety of computer games over the LAN (provided that they support this mode), as well as share files, just like when working with a wired LAN. In order to play Hamachi over the Internet, you need to follow these steps.
Instructions
Step 1
If you have an Internet connection via ADSL, then the modem must be switched to router mode (to do this, use the manual for the modem). By doing this, you will be able to see the games that were created using the program.
Step 2
Download the program using any search site. Then, during installation, check the box next to the "Non-commercial license option". If you do not do this, the program will require an activation code or serial number.
Step 3
Once you have installed the program, run it. First, we need to create a network. To do this, click on the button "Create a new, or enter an existing network", and then select "Create a network". Remember not to create too complex or long passwords, because your friends will also need to enter them.
Step 4
If you want to join an existing network, then click on the "Enter the network" button, enter the name and password. And after connecting, your friends should appear in the list, and green stars opposite them. Double click on them and a ping window will open in front of you.
Step 5
For a comfortable game (reduce latency) go to the control panel, and then select "Network and Access Center" - "Network Connections". In the new window in the right corner, click Advanced and click Advanced Options. Using the arrows, drag the Hamachi program to the first position and restart your computer.
Step 6
If, after completing these steps, you still cannot connect to the created local game, open "Network Connections" - "Properties" again. In the window that opens, click on the properties of the TCPIP (IPv4) protocol and enter the default gateway 5.0.0.1.
