Instructions

Step 1

To play over a local network, you must have a special LAN cable connected, the ends of which are stretched from one computer to another. If this tool is not available, purchase it from a computer store. Try to buy long lengths so that there are no problems pulling the cable from one room to another. Connect the cable to both computers. Next, you need to make some settings in the system.

Step 2

Go to "My Network Places". To do this, on the desktop of your computer, click "My Computer". Then go to the indicated shortcut. On the left side, click the "Display All Connections" tab. The operating system will automatically create a local connection, but some settings will still have to be done. Click on the shortcut with this connection and select Properties from the context menu. A small window with settings will appear.

Step 3

Click "Internet Protocol". In the window that appears, check the box next to "Use the following IP address". Enter the combination of numbers 192.168.0.1. The subnet mask will be created automatically. Click the Save button. On another computer, do the same, but the IP address must have a different ending digit. As soon as you save the settings on another personal computer, a notification about the new local network will automatically appear.

Step 4

Go to the game. This can be done by clicking on the desktop shortcut. As soon as the working menu appears, select the item "Local network play". You will need to create a new game. To do this, select the card on which you will play. Also set up the initial resources. On another computer, also go to this game. Click LAN Play. Only in this case, you need to select the "Find local connection" item.

Step 5

If all the settings in the personal computer have been made correctly, the system will automatically find a new connection in the game. The second player must also choose the race for which he will play. However, he will not be able to make settings for maps and resources, since the creator of this connection is on a different IP address. This procedure is the same for all versions of the Heroes game. To play over the Internet, you need to connect a connection and find free servers.
