A home page is a web page that is automatically loaded when you start your browser. If you previously chose the Yandex search engine to start, and now you want to install some other resource, you need to turn to the tools of your Internet browser.
Instructions
Step 1
There are several options for starting. In one case, any web page selected by the user is loaded, in the other, a blank tab. In some browsers, it is possible to start working with visual bookmarks, but this is only if the Yandex. Bar extension or similar is installed.
Step 2
To set the site of your choice as your home page, launch your browser. In Mozilla Firefox, select the "Tools" item in the top menu bar and left-click on the "Options" item in the drop-down menu. A new window will open.
Step 3
Go to the tab "Basic" in it. In the "Start" group in the "Home page" line, enter the address of the site from which you want to start working on the Internet. If you want an empty tab to load, enter about: blank in the specified field. Click the OK button for the new settings to take effect. The next time you launch the browser, instead of the Yandex search engine, either an empty page or a site of your choice will be loaded.
Step 4
In Internet Explorer, the menu item names are slightly different. Launch the application and select Internet Options from the Tools menu. When a new dialog box opens, make the "General" tab active and enter the data you need in the "Home" group. You can also use the buttons "Empty", "Current", "Initial" from this group. Don't forget to apply the new settings.
Step 5
According to the described principle, you can change the home page in any other browser. The only difficulty that an inexperienced user may have is the lack of a menu bar in the Internet browser window. To remedy the situation, right-click on the menu bar in the browser window. In the context menu, place a marker opposite the "Menu bar" item ("Menu bar") using the left mouse button.
