In those regions where Russian Radio is not broadcasting, you can listen to this station via the Internet. For this, not only a computer is suitable - many smartphones are also capable of receiving streaming.
Instructions
Step 1
Make sure your computer or smartphone is connected to the Internet at an unlimited rate. Install any of the following plugins on your computer: Flash, Silverlight, or Windows Media. In the phone, additionally check the setting of the access point: its name should start with the word internet, not wap. The device must be running the Android or iOS operating system. To listen at home, you can, if you wish, connect it to your home WiFi router - this is convenient if you have unlimited wired Internet, but your mobile one does not.
Step 2
To listen on a computer, go to the page of the Russian Radio website intended for selecting an audio stream. Choose one of three streams: "Russian Radio", "Golden Gramophone" or "Create Your Own Radio". The third option works only with Silverlight (in Linux - Moonlight), and to use it, you need to register on the radio station's website.
Step 3
If you selected the first or second stream, find the drop-down list in the lower right corner of the window that opens. In it, select the one of the plugins that is available on your computer. After that press the play button, it will start shortly.
Step 4
To listen to Russian Radio on your Android or iOS smartphone, download the Russian Radio program, respectively, from the Google Play or Android app store (see links below). In both cases, the program is free. Having entered the application page, click the "Install" button in the Android Market, and the View in iTunes button in the App Store. Then follow the instructions of the system.
Step 5
Once the program is running, click the round play button that appears at the bottom of the screen. It will turn into a stop button, and music will soon be heard from the speaker or headphones. Pressing the same button again will stop receiving radio broadcasts, and it will return to its original form.
