Microsoft has launched a new version of the well-known Outlook email service. It has a Metro-style interface, many useful and relevant functions have been added to the program. The creators of Outlook promise the users of the new service a minimum of advertising and maximum convenience.
Outlook has a Gmail-like interface that allows you to perform various actions on emails. To the already familiar functions in the new service, the ability to organize letters into various categories using labels has been added. In addition, an advanced search system using a filtering system has appeared in the mail program. Native keyboard shortcuts, present in the new Outlook, allow you to work with the service without a mouse. If you don't want to remember the new keyboard shortcuts, you can easily switch to the Gmail layout.
For those who do not use keyboard shortcuts, the program provides a function of performing quick actions with letters. It speeds up the most frequently performed actions - delete, reply, forward, etc.
The updated Outlook is connected to various social networks: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google. It is planned to add Skype service to this list soon. Thanks to this, the program can view photos of friends from various Internet communities, read new messages, statuses, track calls and conversations. The contact list will be automatically updated.
Another new feature in Outlook is more convenient messaging. Upon receipt of any advertising offer, the service adds an "Unsubscribe" button to it. If the user clicks on this button, Outlook will unsubscribe him from this mailing list or simply block further receipt of correspondence from this addressee. Another convenient feature of the new mail service is the viewer for Microsoft Ofiice documents and various images.
Outlook is a completely free service. Access to it is open to Russian users as well. For authorization in Outlook, you can use the login and password from an existing Windows Live account. Thanks to support for the Exchange ActiveSync synchronization protocol, you can work with your mailbox from different devices at the same time.
