The search function on the page you are viewing is a handy tool to facilitate the user's work. This feature does not require special inclusion in most programs, although there are, of course, exceptions.
Instructions
Step 1
Call the main system menu by clicking the "Start" button, and go to the "All Programs" item. Launch the Mozilla Firefox browser and open the desired Internet page. Open the "Tools" menu of the top service panel of the Firefox program window and select the "Options" item. Select the Edit section and expand the Firefox Preferences node. Go to the "Settings" sub-item and specify the "Advanced" group. Go to the "General Panels" tab of the dialog box that opens and apply the check box in the "Search for text on page" line. Save your changes by clicking OK.
Step 2
Open the "Edit" menu of the upper service panel of the application window and select the "Find on this page" command. An alternative method of calling the same menu item can be the simultaneous pressing of the function keys Ctrl, Cmd and F. This action will open a special search bar. Type a word or a combination of words that you want to find on an open Internet page. The search for the desired word will start automatically when you enter the first character.
Step 3
Pay attention to the possible settings for finding the desired word or combination of words on the page: - the following - to search for a phrase located below the mouse pointer; - previous - to search for a phrase located above the mouse pointer; - highlight all - to highlight each occurrence of the selected word on the page; - case sensitive - to search for a word or phrase corresponding to the entered case.
Step 4
Launch the Google Chrome browser to enable the live search function. To do this, open the application settings menu by clicking the button with the wrench symbol in the upper service panel of the program, and select the "Settings" item. Select the "General" tab in the dialog box that opens and apply the checkbox in the "Enable Live Search" line in the "Search" group. Save the changes and check the correctness of the required function.
