Mailing letters are sent to e-mail boxes almost every day. Some come as an announcement from a familiar site, others contain spam. You can protect yourself from annoying unnecessary information by unsubscribing from the mailing list.
Instructions
Step 1
The first step is to determine if the newsletter is spam or if it comes from a familiar source.
Step 2
By means of spam mailings, virus programs, hacker programs, spyware or simply unnecessary advertising of various nature can get into an e-mail box, and therefore a personal computer. If you are sure that the received message is spam, then it is not recommended to open it. It is necessary to mark it (put a "tick" in the box next to the letter title) and click on the button "This is spam". The site administration will receive information about the spam mailing, and the letter will disappear from the "Inbox" folder. But, if you post information with the address of your e-mail box on unprotected pages on the Internet, then perhaps this will lead to the repeated appearance of spam letters in your box.
Step 3
If the letter was received from a reliable source, but you want to unsubscribe from this mailing, you must click on the active hyperlink in the text of the letter "Unsubscribe from mailing". Often this is enough to prevent letters from this site from arriving at your address anymore. In some cases, the text of the mailing letter does not contain the phrase "If you want to unsubscribe …". Then you need to go to the site from which this letter was received. Log in to the "Personal Account" and uncheck the "Yes, I want to receive newsletter about …" option. If there is no such mention in the "Personal Account", you must contact the site administration with a request to exclude yourself from the mailing list. If, despite the above actions, unwanted messages continue to arrive at your email address, you must go to the "Black List" tab in the mailbox settings and indicate there the source from which the letters are received.
Step 4
If the mailing letter was received from your email service provider, then directly in the text of the next letter you need to find the phrase "Unsubscribe from mailing", click on the hyperlink and, confirming your refusal, be sure that such letters will no longer arrive in your email box.
