Step 1
Domain name delegation. This action must be performed to link the domain to the hosting. In the domain control panel, you need to register the DNS servers of your hoster (a company that provides hosting services). The necessary data can be obtained from the hosting order. Delegation can take up to 24 hours from the time the DNS is changed, but in practice everything happens much faster.
Step 2
Search, download and install FTP-manager. Once you have delegated the domain, you can start looking for an FTP client (if not installed on your PC) to upload the site to hosting. Of all the download managers currently in existence, FileZilla is the most optimal. This program is distributed free of charge and can be downloaded from filezilla.ru (official developer resource). After downloading the FTP manager to your computer, check it with an antivirus for malicious scripts. If no threats are found to your computer, install the program and proceed to the next step.
Step 3
When you ordered a hosting service, an email containing FTP access data was sent to the email address specified during registration. Open this letter and, having copied all the data into a separate document, delete it from the mailbox.
Step 4
Loading the site for hosting. Open FileZilla and enter your FTP credentials in the fields at the top of the program. Click the "Quick Connect" button. On the right side of the window, you will see several folders. Find the "Public-HTML" folder among them and open it. Create a new directory titled with your domain name (domen.ru, domen.com, etc.). Open the created directory and move your website files into it. The resource will be available on the Internet after DNS delegation.
