In order to protect the author's HTML-code from being viewed by site guests, use special encryption utilities. These programs allow you to hide the code from users who want to look at it or copy it to their resources.
Instructions
Step 1
Download HTML encryption software. Allows you to encrypt entire HTML files with a utility called WebCrypt Pro. It can also be used to block the right mouse button for the copy operation, hide links in the body of the page itself, cancel caching and impose a print ban. This program, in addition to the standard protection of the code, protects against theft of images and allows you to set a ban on copying and opening the original page. The HTMLencrypt and HTML Guard applications have a similar scheme and functionality for creating protection.
Step 2
Run the downloaded file and wait until the installation of the program is completed. Run the installed utility using the shortcut on the desktop or through the "Start". Go to the required tab in the window that opens. Specify the path to the encoded page in the files clause if you need to encode the entire file completely.
Step 3
Go to the required tab in the window that opens. As in the second step, specify the path to the encoded page if you want to encode the file in full. If you need to encrypt the code, then paste the original HTML into the corresponding text field and click the Decrypt or Protect button (it depends on the selected program).
Step 4
Keep in mind that encryption mostly only works for Internet Explorer. The result may be different in other browsers. Moreover, such programs do not provide one hundred percent protection from experienced web developers, because the algorithm used in the utilities can be easily deciphered. And one more thing: search engines will not be able to index encrypted documents.
Step 5
In order to encode a website, there are various internet services. To do this, enter the phrase "HTML Encryption" in the search engine. Most of these online services use the same encryption algorithm, which is based on Java Script. This means that the result and the efficiency of the encoding will be approximately the same.
