If you don't want to have discussions with your YouTube channel visitors, or just want to protect yourself from provocations, you can turn off comments on videos on your channel.

Instructions

Step 1

Log in to your YouTube channel profile. Then in the upper right corner, next to the "Add Video" label, find the gear icon - these are your channel settings. Click on it.

Step 2

In the drop-down menu, select the first line - "Control Panel". On the settings page that opens, you need the left column - the menu. Below the lines "Control Panel" and "Video Manager" click on the line "Community" - this is the comment management menu.

Step 3

First, you will be shown the actual comments left to your posts (if any). But you need a "comment setting" - you can go to it using the same menu on the left: note that under the "Communities" caption there are several link lines: "Comments", "Inbox" and "Comment settings" - the latter is what you need. Click on this inscription.

Step 4

Scroll down the opened page. In the "Default Settings" for new uploaded videos and for all other videos on your channel, you can change the settings: allow them (usually this setting is the default), send all comments left by visitors for your review (you decide yourself whether to publish them or no) or disallow any comments. To do this, a tick (dot) should be put next to the corresponding inscription.

Step 5

Don't forget to click the blue, rectangular Save button - it's at the top of the page, next to Customize Comments. If the save is successful, the message "Done" will appear next to the save button.

Step 6

Please note that on the same page, you can simply adjust the comments settings without prohibiting them all and, nevertheless, make your stay on the YouTube service much more comfortable. For example, in the column "blocked users" you can mark those people whose comments you would not like to see on your page - the ban will apply only to them. Or prohibit comments containing certain words - you can enter them just below, in the "black list".

Step 7

You can also deny a certain user access to the channel right on your page: hovering over the comment from the user, you will see an arrow in the upper right corner of the inscription. Clicking on it, select "Deny access", and the user will be included in your "black list" of commentators.
