But it is one thing to give the finished material to the proofreader to the editorial office, where the news is published without the further participation of the correspondent, and quite another, when the journalist is required to independently publish an article on a news resource on the Internet.

Because, as a rule, sites are created on platforms that have automated content management (content). Each of these automated content management systems has a built-in editor that is configured by the web programmer for specific goals and tasks and does not differ so much from the default editor built into the system.

In order to publish news on the site, the journalist needs to get access to the administrative part of the resource. The right to access the site as an editor opens immediately after registering on it, or the super-administrator of a particular resource personally assigns a login and password to authorize a particular journalist, which, as a rule, is sent to the author's email address.

So, let's say that the journalist has already managed to enter the administrative part of the site and the first thing that opens for him is the menu, which necessarily contains the item "Add news to the site", click on it, and go to the editor.

Being in the editor, we find a text box, usually in the top line, into which the title of the published material is inserted, a little below there will be a button for loading a picture for this news. The drawing is initially copied to the hard drive of your own computer, and then uploaded to the site server. This is a common practice on the Internet.

All news belongs to a specific category. In this connection, the editor must have a list of categories, from which you have to choose exactly the one that corresponds to your publication.

Further, there may be two options for continuing the publication.

In the first: the editor has a text field into which the news announcement is copied, and below there will be a field for pasting the entire material into it.

In the second: for the publication of news in the editor, there is one single text field. In this case, the entire text is placed in the existing field. Then the cursor is positioned at the end of the announcement, and at the bottom of the interface of the editor's text field there should be a button "More", or something similar to it. After clicking on it, a red dotted stripe must appear at the cursor location. This indicates the division of the published material into the announcement and the main text.

At the very bottom of the editor interface are the Publish News and Preview buttons. Press the one that you see fit.
