McDonald's restaurants, in addition to the famous fast food, offer their customers free access to the Internet via Wi-Fi. It's very easy to connect to Wi-Fi at McDonald's.
Instructions
Step 1
Make sure your computer is equipped with a Wi-Fi module. If you are not sure about this, check the instructions or stickers on your laptop. If you come across a Wi-Fi logo or a symbol for an antenna that transmits a wave, then the computer is equipped with this wireless interface.
Step 2
Turn it on using a dedicated button or keyboard shortcut. As a rule, Wi-Fi operation is indicated by the glow of a special indicator. After making sure that the wireless module is activated, start searching for the network.
Step 3
Make sure the restaurant has access to a wireless network (check with the cashier, check for stickers on the door). If the computer is in the range of a wireless network, then the Windows operating system will immediately notify you in the lower right corner of the screen.
Step 4
Click on it, as a result of which the window for wireless network connections will open. Select the mcdonalds wireless network in it, select it and click on the "Connect" button. A few seconds after receiving the network address, the computer will be connected to the network and the Internet.
Step 5
If your computer does not automatically detect wireless networks, enable manual search and connect to them. To do this, open the "Start" menu, select the "Connect" command and in the drop-down menu click on the "Wireless network connection" line. This will open a window that displays all available wireless networks (in your case, the mcdonalds network).
Step 6
To receive up-to-date information, click on the "Update the list of available networks" button located on the right, then select the mcdonalds network and click the "Connect" button.
