Step 1
The easiest way to save not only the history of page visits, but also other browser data is to copy the folder with the program to another local drive. Thus, when changing the operating system or installing a new one, you can return all settings to their places. But this method is not popular, because after reinstalling the system, the browser is present, but the required keys are not in the registry.
Step 2
Therefore, the best way is to use special programs. Among the majority of programs that serve to back up these programs, the FavBackup utility can be distinguished. After going to the site page, you must press the End key on the keyboard to be at the bottom of the page, and click the link in the Download FavBackup block.
Step 3
After downloading the program, install it, double-click on the icon with the left mouse button. Follow the instructions of the installation wizard, at the last stage of the installation, click the Finish button. To work with this program, you need to have one of the listed browsers: Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Safari or Google Chrome.
Step 4
Open the program, for this click the "Start" menu, go to the "All Programs" section and in the FavBrowser Backup folder click on the shortcut of the executable file. In the main window of the program, you only need 2 buttons - Backup and Restore.
Step 5
To create a backup, click the Backup button, just below this button, select the browser for which the backup will be created. At the bottom of the window, click Next. In the new window, check the boxes next to the items that require reservation, use the Select All and Deselect keys. Select a folder to store information for recovery, click the button with the image of an open folder.
Step 6
To restore data from a saved copy, click the Restore button and specify the folder where it is located.
