Fortunately, it is possible to block such sites on your computer. There are various ways to block certain sites: in the browser settings, firewall, antivirus and prohibiting the opening of the site address in the hosts file.

Step 1
Site blocking in browser settings:
In the Internet Explorer browser go to the menu "properties" - "Internet properties" - the "content" tab - click the "enable" button - "allowed sites" - enter in the field the address of the site that you want to block (for example, sait.ru) and click button "never". The browser may ask you to enter a password. Enter a simple password to forget.
Step 2
In the Opera browser, blocking a site is carried out by the following actions: in the browser menu, go to "Settings" - "Advanced" - "Blocked content" and add the site address.

For the Google Chrome and Firefox browsers, there are special add-ons Blocksite (for FireFox) and Personal Blocklist (for Chrome). You can install these add-ons on the official websites of these browsers. They are fairly easy to use and customize. You can block a site in the settings of these plugins by simply adding the site address to the field and clicking the "add filter" button.
However, blocking the site address in the browser settings is not the best way and is only suitable for those who are used to using one browser. And in the settings of not every browser there is an opportunity to block an unwanted site.

Therefore, it is best to block sites either in the firewall settings of your antivirus or in the settings of your personal firewall.
Recently, a lot of free versions of these programs have appeared (for example, NetPolicce, Jetico, etc.). We will not dwell on their settings, because they are somewhat different from each other and their detailed description will take a lot of time. And finally, the last, but no less effective way to block access to some site addresses is to edit the hosts configuration file.
hosts is a text file containing a database of domain names and used when translating them into network addresses of hosts. Query for this file takes precedence over queries to DNS servers. Unlike DNS, the contents of a file are controlled by a computer administrator.
Open the file C: / WINDOWS / system32 / drivers / etc / hosts using regular notepad. Before that, make sure that the display of hidden and system files is enabled in the folder settings. Add the following line to the end of the hosts file:
127.0.0.1 sait.ru
where 127.0.0.1 is the ip address of your local host and site.ru is the address of the site you want to block. If you want to block many sites, then each entry in the hosts file must start on a new line. Remember to save the entry to a file.
Now, if you type the address of the site you blocked in the browser line, then your computer will redirect you to your local address and you will see the inscription "Server is unavailable".
