Each site on the Internet has its own unique address. This is a short link made up of English letters and numbers. The length of an Internet address can be three or more characters.

Step 1
To follow a link to a specific portal on the Internet, you need to know the address. It is entered in the browser. This is a special software that allows users to navigate the pages of sites. In real time, you can see all the information. Open any of the available browsers. If you don't have one, download your favorite Internet surfing program from the installation disc or from the Internet.

Install one browser software on your hard drive: Opera, Chrome, Mozilla, Internet Explorer. Try to install to the system local drive of a personal computer. A shortcut will appear on the desktop with which you can launch the program. To do this, double-click on it with the left mouse button.

In the address bar, enter the name of the site you need to click on. The address looks something like this - "site.ru". In some cases, the browser will automatically assign "http". However, you do not need to enter this combination, as it does not play a significant role. If you do not know the address of the site, then you can use special search services.
Step 4
To do this, enter google.ru or yandex.ru in the address bar. These are some of the most popular search engines on the internet. Next, enter your search term. For example, "music site" or "latest technology". The system will automatically give you the results. Click on one of the links to view information. If you did not find what you were looking for, you can go to another address. In order for the browser to remember the site address, press the "Add to bookmarks" button and confirm the selection with the Enter key.

If you received a letter on your e-mail and it contains a link to the site, then you can also go to it. To do this, select it and copy it to the address bar of your browser. You can also left-click on the selected area of the link text, and the system will automatically redirect you to the site. The situation is similar with links in text documents, for example, in documents created in MS Word. To navigate through such, you can copy the link text and paste it into the address bar of the browser, or click on the link with the left mouse button, while holding down the Ctrl button on the keyboard.
