Most often, Internet users have to deal with dynamic ranges of IP addresses. This means that the coordinates of the computer change regularly. Another option is for the provider to use a static range. In any case, it is sometimes important to know to what extent the IP values may fluctuate.
Instructions
Step 1
Go to the website of your provider, study the data presented there. For many, this information is easily accessible. If you did not find the used range on the site, call the call center and connect to the operator. You should be prompted either by the information itself, or the easiest way to find it out. The company pays for the use of web addresses, and this information is not secret. If the range is fixed, then it is usually indicated in the contract. Otherwise, it should be specified.
Step 2
Find out your IP. Use any internet service to clarify your address. Such a service, for example, is provided by Yandex: internet.yandex.ru or https://2ip.ru/whois/. For example, after the last service gives information on your location on the network, this data will appear in the search field. Click the Check button again. The service then displays the range of available addresses for your ISP. …
Step 3
Check with any service for checking domains and selecting a site name (whois) which autonomous system this or that IP belongs to. Go to the database of the European region - RIPE Database (www.ripe.net) and enter the obtained data in the search box. The result is the available address ranges.
Step 4
If you need a permanent IP address, contact your ISP. Order it as an additional service. Some providers immediately assign a fixed IP address to the client. But this practice is becoming less common.
