The Sims 3 is a game world where you can create characters, fall in love, have families, and build houses. To make the house look cozy, the developers provided players with a whole arsenal of design solutions for the bedroom, kitchen or living room. And what is a living room without a fireplace? The original version of the home stove can become a highlight of any home and turn the game into an aesthetic pleasure.
Solving financial problems
Fireplaces in The Sims 3 are expensive. In order not to harm the budget of the playing family, you can arrange a character for a job or enter a code for money. Pressing the Ctrl - Shift - Enter - C keys at the same time calls the console (gray line at the top of the screen) to enter the codes.
Popular codes to increase finances: Motherlode - 50,000 simoleons, Kaching - 1,000 simoleons, "Familyfonds Family name amount" - any amount, but not more than 39,000,000. Codes must be entered without quotes in the characters' life mode.
Choosing a fireplace
The game control panel is at the bottom of the screen. There are three modes: purchase (an icon in the form of a chair and a chandelier), construction (a saw and a roller), and a mode of life (little men).
Having created characters and settled them on the site, you need to build a house. Choose whether there will be a house with or without foundation. The foundation allows you to make a beautiful porch, but makes it difficult to build a basement. There are three types of foundations in the game: concrete, decorative (lattice) and on piles. The latter option is convenient if you are placing your house on the lake. Foundations, walls, wallpaper, decorative elements for decorating the yard (bushes, flowers, etc.), as well as fireplaces are offered in construction mode.
To smooth corners in the shape of a trapezoid, you can use diagonal laying of the foundation and walls. For the first time, it is quite difficult to find the optimal size of the house and so on. In the construction mode, templates of ready-made rooms are presented for convenience. This allows you to reduce the time of the construction part and start playing right away. Most often, primitive furniture is used in templates, but this defect can be corrected by replacing cheap parts during the game with more stylish and expensive ones.
When planning a living room with a fireplace, it should be borne in mind that the pipe from it will stretch through all floors and go out to the roof. Therefore, it is recommended to deal with the installation of the oven before placing windows and furniture.
Choose where the fireplace will be located: against the wall, in the center of the room, etc. The color and material of the stove (as well as wallpaper and furniture) can be changed using a palette tool. It depends on your imagination and taste what the design will be: maybe a fancy stone pattern, or maybe bright paint or white plaster.
The game is as close to life as possible, so fireplaces, if used incorrectly, can cause a fire. Keep the fireplace away from carpets, paintings and curtains. To avoid unpleasant situations, secure your characters with a fire alarm - you can buy it in the purchase mode (electrician section - other). Also purchase outdoor fireplace accessories (scoop, tongs and poker) in the decor section.
Playing moments will help reduce the likelihood of fire: after gaining enough happiness points, the character can purchase a fireproof covering for the house (in fact, you will not have to cover anything, this is just a property that protects the house from accidental fire). You can see the happiness points by clicking the chest-shaped icon in the life mode. By fulfilling the various desires of the characters, you replenish the number of lucky points.
If you don't want to wait long, you can increase your happiness scores using the developer code. To do this, in the game loading mode, when the window with the last save appears, call the console and type the code: TestingCheatsEnabled true. In live mode, click on the chest icon. While holding down the Ctrl key, left-click in the space between the chest and the happiness level. Each click adds 500-1000 points.
