On the Internet, you can find many forums of completely different topics. Many people make new friends this way. To see if a friend is currently on the forum, there are several ways.

Step 1
If you want to know who is on the forum at the moment, you need to go to the main page of the project. Follow the root link or open it in a new tab by right-clicking on the link and selecting the "Open link in a new tab" menu item.
Step 2
Scroll down the list of subforums. There is usually information about those present on the forum, the last registered user is shown, whose birthday is today, and the like. You are interested in the section "Registered users", "Users online" or "Now on the forum".
Step 3
In the list you will find the nicknames of the conference participants who are present on the site. They can be arranged in alphabetical order or by the time a person has been on the forum, when the last person who entered is displayed first or, conversely, at the end of the list. Please note that this information is constantly updated. Therefore, if you are waiting for a certain person in the conference, you should refresh the main page more often.
Step 4
On some resources it is possible to see who is in the subforums. At the bottom of the list of topics of a private conference, you can see the section "This subforum is read", and then the nicknames of users who entered the subsection you selected will be listed. This feature is not available in all forums.
Step 5
On some sites, the administration removes information about the presence of users from the main page. It can usually be found in a separate section of the forum. Find "Users" in the menu, then select "Online Users". You will be shown a list of all conference participants who are online.
Step 6
Many forums now have chats for quick communication. In the chat menu, you can usually find all the chatting users. Unfortunately, more often than not, only information about the participants who are on the main page or on the chat page is displayed. Users who read subforums are most likely not shown in the list.
