The role-playing game "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" is filled with all kinds of exciting quests that are interesting to go through more than once. But not all quests are easy to go through and there is not always time to replay the same task several times in order to find out what the previous choice influenced and whether it is possible to achieve a better result.

The quest "Treasures of Count Royven" is a story-driven quest, which means that it must be completed. It is very addicting and replayable as there are three different paths to complete it.

Start

So, the first thing you need to do is find the clues. To do this, talk to the witness, and then search the sewer. The sewage system is protected from thieves by a special fungus that is deadly to humans. Therefore, before going there, you need to drink a special antidote, which Dijkstra should give you. In the sewers you will find several drowned men, the corpse of one unlucky robber, some of the abandoned treasures, and also what is left of the bomb. Geralt will conclude that the bomb was blown up directly from the baths, or rather thrown into the drain of one of the pools, and the treasure was taken away by boat.

Return to the bathhouse and examine the pools. In one of the rooms you will find irrefutable evidence - a trail of oil and parts of a bomb. Next, you need to find out who visited these baths that day. This person will be Margrave Henkel.

Then go to Dijkstra and give him all the information you have collected. It turns out that the Margrave died long ago, which means that his name was simply used. However, Geralt decides to check Henkel's house just in case, since it was abandoned after the death of the owner.

House of the Margrave

Go to Henkel's Abandoned House. The entrance is clogged with planks, remove them with the Aard sign. Go up to the second floor, on the table in one of the rooms you will find a note and a bottle of wine. It is necessary to insert this bottle into a special recess in the wall in the next room, then the door to the secret room will open.

Search this room. Geralt will find irrefutable evidence that robbers have visited it, as well as a letter that will lead him to a new trail - a certain Menge organization, which is engaged in catching sorcerers. They have the treasury, as well as the necessary information about Buttercup.

Go down to the first floor and talk to Dijkstroi. During the discussion, everyone will come to the conclusion that it is necessary to get to Menge's headquarters. For magical assistance, Triss, Geralt's old acquaintance, will be involved in the case.

Inquisition headquarters

At midnight (and not earlier), approach the meeting place with Triss and go with her to the lair of the Menge organization. The headquarters is very well guarded, it is impossible to penetrate there unnoticed or take it by force. To get inside, Geralt and Triss will develop a plan according to which Triss will pretend to be a prisoner, and Geralt will be the one who brought her to the Inquisition to receive a reward.

Further, the development of events can go in three ways, the further relations of Geralt and Triss, as well as the time of the mission, depend on this.

  1. Geralt does not give Triss, refuses to torture his partner and loses the opportunity to find out any information. If you choose this option, get ready to take on a battle with a large number of opponents. After the battle, search the room, read Menge's papers, take the book and return to Dijkstra. He will lead you on the trail of the spy. Insert the book into the recess near the Eternal Flame in the indicated cache, and then head to the meeting point and wait for the agent of the Inquisition. When he appears, interrogate him, and then kill or, more humanely, erase his memory.
  2. Geralt gives Triss away, but refuses to torture her. In this case, you can learn about the treasure and Buttercup, but the battle will be no easier than in the first option.
  3. Geralt gives Triss to Menge and allows torture. This option is the most dastardly, but at the same time, the simplest. While Triss is being tortured, you can find out all the necessary information, you won't even have to kill anyone. Triss will do everything herself: she will kill Caleb Menge, search his corpse, find the key and burn the headquarters. You just have to hand everything to Royven.

Then go to Priscilla and tell her everything you learned about Buttercup. The mission will end.
