The battle in Kaer Morhen is one of the key moments in the game, so you need to thoroughly prepare for it. Geralt simply needs reliable comrades, but where can he find them? This is what the witcher will have to do.
Quest "Brothers in Arms" is required for passing. It is included in the main storyline and appears after the curse is removed from Avalak'kh.
After talking with him, you will find out that Ciri is on the Isle of Mists, however, it will not be possible to simply pick her up, since Eredin will immediately find out about this and will come for her.
A collective decision will be made to fight the Wild Hunt in Kaer Morhen, but for this we need reliable allies. It is their search and collection that the witcher will deal with.
Friends from Novigrad
Here we can ask for help from four friends. We can be helped by:
- Triss
- Dijkstra
- Vernon Roche and Bianca
- Zoltan
Triss
This ally is provided by the plot, so Triss will definitely help you. We carry out all her tasks in Novigrad, and she is ready to help us.
How your relationship has developed does not really matter. If you confess your love for Triss and persuade her to stay, then she will immediately go to Kaer Morhen. If she sailed to Kovir, then Yennefer will call her to the witch's fortress.
Dijkstra
His assistant is frankly weak. In order to be able to ask him for help at all, you need to impeccably complete all the tasks that he will give us.
After that, he is ready to help us, but only with money. If you really need 1000 kroons, which he will give, go to him and take it. You can't count on more.
Roche and Bianca
With him, everything is easier. We help him save Bianca from the Nilfgaardian soldiers in the captured village, and he is already happy to help us. He will come to Kaer Morhen with Bianca and can make guerrilla traps around the fortress if you choose him when creating a defense plan.
Zoltan
Another character who will definitely fight the Wild Hunt with us. In Novigrad, he will need help finding cards for the gwent to pay off his debts. However, you can call him for help without completing this quest.
Skellige Warriors
The islands are also rich in helpers for our witcher. Here we will be supported by:

- Hjalmar An Krayt
Collapse
Collapse will ask us to help his children: Keris and Hjalmaru. We, of course, will not refuse an old friend, and in return he will gladly agree to help us in the battle.
Unfortunately, he personally will not be able to come, but he will hand us the legendary sword "Blade of Winter", which according to legend was forged in Mahakam and tempered in the flame of a dragon. The blade is not very powerful, if you have already pumped well, then you will have a stronger weapon, but it can be useful for a collection.
Mousehovur
The druid has a long-standing obligation to Ciri to protect her, so you can count on him. He will agree to go to the fortress without any demands, he will only ask for time to prepare.
Upon arrival, he will offer to organize traps throughout the territory of the fortress and will generally be useful in battle.
Hjalmar
The son of Crash An Krayt will travel to Kaer Morhen, whether we put him on the throne or Keris. Just give a glorious warrior the opportunity to win glory in battle, he will only be glad. The main thing is to complete the "Lord of Undvik" quest and help him kill the giant.
An old friend from Velen
Keira Metz is a very strong sorceress who can also be invited to the abode of the witchers. We go through the quests: "The Magic Lamp", "An Invitation from Keira Metz", "Mouse Tower", "Friendly Service", "For the Good of Science" and at the end we persuade Keira to go to Kaer Morhen.
It is important to choose this particular scenario, since otherwise the sorceress will die.
Imperial support
Emgyr var Emreis is also offered to us as a potential ally. We go to Vizima and tell him that we have found Ciri, but help is needed in the battle.
He agrees to send part of the troops, but only if his general is in command. Geralt does not agree to this, so we will leave the emperor with nothing.
Gathering in the fortress
It is worth saying that this is not all who can help us during a siege. There is also Leto, who can also arrive at the fortress under certain conditions.
How the battle will go will largely depend on the composition of the defenders, so take the task “Brothers in Arms” seriously.
