The tooltips that appear when you fill out various forms on the pages of sites (including search queries) are the result of your browser's activity. It remembers what you enter and if somewhere else in the source code of the web page it encounters an input field with the same name, it gives you a "contextual hint" to speed up filling out the form fields. It is convenient, but sometimes it becomes necessary to reset these lists. This can be done by clearing the history stored by the browser.
Instructions
Step 1
If you are using Internet Explorer, start the transition to clear history options by expanding the "Tools" section in the top menu. In it you need the item "Internet Options" - click it. In the settings window that will open after that, you will need the "General" tab, which is open here by default. In the "Browsing history" section of this tab, click the "Delete" button. This action will open another window - "Delete browsing history". In it, the cleaning options are also divided into sections. The history of entered search queries you need is cleared by clicking the "Delete Forms" button in the "Web Form Data" section - click it.

If your browser is Mozilla Firefox, then open the menu section with the name "Tools" and click on "Delete personal data". You can do without a mouse - pressing the CTRL + SHIFT + DEL key combination performs the same action, that is, it opens the "Delete personal data" window. This window lists the types of stored data that can be deleted - check the box next to Saved Form Data and Search History. Of course, you can select other types of data, and then click the "Delete Now" button.
Step 3
In the case of the Opera browser, you need to open the menu, move the cursor over the "Settings" section and click the "Delete personal data" item. As a result, a dialog box will open, where there is a label "Detailed settings" - it expands the list of data to be deleted. Click on this mark, in the expanded list, place the necessary marks in the checkboxes and click the "OK" button.
Step 4
If you are using Google Chrome, then to access the options for deleting your Internet history, simply press the CTRL + SHIFT + DEL key combination. In this way, you will open a window, the title of which will read "Clear browsing data", and the content will be a list of data to be deleted. The item you need here is named "Clear saved data of autofill forms" - put a mark in its checkbox. In addition, you should choose the depth of the story to which you want to sweep. In the very first line of this window there is a drop-down list, in which select the required time period. Then click the "Clear Browsed Pages" button to start the cleanup procedure.
Step 5
In the Apple Safari browser, to completely clear the stored history, open the "History" section of the menu and select "Clear history" in it. The browser will ask you to confirm the operation - click the "Clear" button.
